Events Management Training?Ok im wanting to go to university to do an events management course. Im currently studying travel and tourism at btec national diploma at college but im not fully sure wether i want to go to university. I was just wondering if there is any companies out there who have beginners training courses or something along these lines. I feel that i want to go towards charity events or music events to work within them areas. Would really appricieate it can help :)

I’m not sure which country you’re in, but those interested in events planning or management can look into a bachelor’s (four-year) degree in hospitality management/administration, marketing or public relations. Perhaps more likely the hospitality management. There seems to be a lot of competition out there even for those with the proper credentials though :)For general career information (in the US): Http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search ‘meeting and convention planners’, ‘lodging managers’ or such.
